Cookie Policy

Online Aridang OÜ · Last updated: June 2026 · Effective date: June 2026

1.What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that are placed on your device (computer, tablet, or mobile) when you visit a website. They allow the website to remember your actions and preferences over a period of time, so you don't have to re-enter information every time you visit.

Cookies can be set by the website you're visiting (first-party cookies) or by other services that provide content on the page (third-party cookies). They can be session cookies (deleted when you close your browser) or persistent cookies (stored until they expire or you delete them).

Cookies are not programmes and cannot be used to run code or deliver viruses. They cannot access files on your device beyond what the browser stores them as.

2.How we use cookies

The ARIDANG website (aridang.com) uses a minimal set of cookies to provide a functional and secure experience. We do not use cookies for advertising purposes, and we do not sell cookie data to third parties.

We group cookies into three categories:

Strictly necessary Always active — no consent required

Essential Cookies

These cookies are required for the website to function correctly. They enable core features such as security, navigation, and your cookie preference record. The site cannot operate properly without them, and they are exempt from consent requirements under the UK PECR and EU ePrivacy rules.

Analytics

Analytics Cookies

These cookies help us understand how visitors use the site — which pages are most popular, how long visitors stay, and where they come from. This data is aggregated and anonymous: no individual user is identified. We use this to improve the website experience. These cookies are only set if you accept them.

Marketing

Marketing Cookies

Marketing cookies would allow us to show relevant content to visitors who have previously visited our site. These cookies are currently not active on the ARIDANG website. If we introduce them in future, this policy will be updated and your consent will be sought again.

3.Cookies we use

Strictly necessary cookies

Analytics cookies (only set with your consent)

Note on the onboarding portal
The ARIDANG onboarding portal at online.aridang.ee is operated by Gemba Finance Ltd and is subject to its own cookie and privacy policy. When you click "Open Account" and are redirected there, you leave the ARIDANG website and this cookie policy no longer applies.

4.Third-party cookies

The ARIDANG website may load content from the following third-party services, which may set their own cookies:

  • Google Fonts — Used to load the Inter typeface. Google may log the font request, but this does not involve tracking cookies on the ARIDANG domain.
  • Google Analytics — Only active if you have accepted analytics cookies. Google processes aggregated, anonymised usage data in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy. IP anonymisation is enabled. Data is not used for personalised advertising.

We do not embed social media widgets, advertising networks, or retargeting pixels on this website.

5.Legal basis

Under the UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) and the EU ePrivacy Directive:

  • Strictly necessary cookies do not require consent — they are set on the basis of legitimate interest and technical necessity.
  • Analytics and marketing cookies require your freely given, specific, informed consent before being set. We ask for this consent via our cookie banner when you first visit the site.

Where we rely on consent, you have the right to withdraw it at any time. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of any processing carried out before withdrawal.

6.Managing your cookie preferences

You can change your cookie preferences at any time. Click the button below to open the preference panel:

You can also control cookies through your browser settings:

  • Google Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
  • Mozilla Firefox: Options → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
  • Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
  • Microsoft Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions

Note that blocking all cookies may affect site functionality — in particular, the cookie consent preference itself is stored locally and will be lost if you clear all site data.

7.Data retention and your rights

Cookie preference data stored in your browser's localStorage is not transmitted to our servers — it exists only on your device and is cleared when you clear your browser data or use the preference manager above.

Analytics data collected via Google Analytics is retained for 14 months in aggregated form. No personally identifiable information is retained in analytics.

As a data subject under UK GDPR and the EU GDPR (where applicable), you have the right to:

  • Access, rectify, or erase personal data we hold about you
  • Withdraw consent at any time (see Section 6)
  • Lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) in the UK or your local supervisory authority in the EU

For any data-related enquiries, contact us at: [email protected]

8.Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time — for example if we introduce new features, change analytics providers, or if regulations change. The effective date at the top of this page reflects when it was last revised.

If we introduce new non-essential cookie categories, we will request your consent again via the cookie banner before setting any new cookies.
